Sledding at Lake Tahoe State Park, Nevada

Sledding, or tobogganing as it is referred to by some people, is one of the most popular free winter activities around Lake Tahoe. Every winter at the corner of Highway 50 and Highway 28, west of Carson City in Lake Tahoe State Park, the free parking lot fills with cars and trucks with their children and sleds. The only piece of equipment that's required is a $10 plastic sled. There are no tickets or passes to purchase.
